Voluntary services in sports in Lower Saxony

Voluntary services in sport should be seen as an educational and orientation year with the aim of promoting the willingness of young people in particular to engage in voluntary social work and take responsibility. Voluntary services provide valuable insights into a professional field in which participants can gain initial or further professional experience. At the same time, they engage themselves voluntarily and thus experience self-efficacy. Possible places of employment in sport are clubs, associations and sports facilities that regularly organise games, sports and leisure activities for children and young people and provide other care services for this target group.
