Involvement in voluntary services in sport
Voluntary services in sport offer you a wide range of activities as a volunteer.

Fields of activity of the voluntary services
The following section lists the various fields of activity of the voluntary services.
They are subdivided according to their individual focus.

The field of activity of (specialist) trainers occupies a large part of the voluntary services.
Our seminars cover both license and FWD content.
As a freelance instructor, you can deliver this content and work with the volunteers.
If you have already gained experience through a trainer license or activity, studies, training or your own voluntary service, this is a good basis.
However, you can also start with us as a speaker by observing the voluntary services!
We are looking for instructors for the following seminars:
- Instructor-C popular sport
- Instructor-C popular sport bilingual
- Trainer-C Fitness and Health
- Free seminar days
- Final seminars
Your tasks:
- Planning and conducting seminar days and weeks for volunteers
- Dealing with pedagogical, subject-specific and/or sports science topics
- Teaching FWD and license content as part of the seminar weeks
- Educational support for volunteers during the seminar period
- Supporting and leading group processes
What we offer:

- Free participation in the DOSB trainer certificate
- Further (free) training opportunities, e.g. protection against sexualized violence

The field of activity of course support covers an important area in the pedagogical support of the volunteer service participants during the face-to-face seminars.
As a course supervisor, you will act as an interface between the specialist instructors and the participants and will be responsible for the content of the FWD, among other things.
If you already have some experience in leading groups, you have important qualifications for the position of course facilitator.
We are looking for instructors for the following seminars:
Cross-sport license
- Club manager C license
License-independent seminars:
- Developing potential
- Sport and politics
Sport-specific license
- Trainer-C basketball, soccer, athletics, (table) tennis, handball, volleyball, fitness and health (NTB)
BFD profile
- BFD Kita, Media, Vital, Next
Your tasks:
- Link between the ASC, the group and the specialist advisors
- Teaching FWD content as part of the seminar weeks
- Supervising the volunteers during the seminar period
- Supporting and leading group processes
- Conducting energizers and small games
What we offer:
- Teaching and preparation materials (e.g. teaching outlines, worksheets)

- Further (free) training opportunities, e.g. protection against sexualized violence

- Possibly acquisition of a specialist license (after consultation with the professional association)
As an assignment site visitor, you represent the volunteer services in sport in Lower Saxony and visit our assignment sites in your region. You are our multiplier on site and engage in direct exchange with volunteers and mentors. This gives you the opportunity to find out more about the tasks and activities of the individual FWD volunteers at the assignment location in interesting conversations.
Your tasks:
- Arrange/coordinate an appointment with the assignment location (mentor and FWD student)
- Carrying out the visit (discussion with volunteer, mentor, tour of the EST, advice on various volunteer topics)
- Preparation of a written record of the visit (template exists)
- Conducting discussions and resolving conflicts if necessary
What we offer:
- Reimbursement of travel expenses in accordance with the Federal Travel Expenses Act
- Remuneration per hour as well as preparation & follow-up (mini-job)
- Interesting insights into the job sites
- Free time management (usually: October - March)
- Independent work
- Supervision by full-time regional coordinators of the ASC Göttingen
As an FWD ambassador, you will represent the volunteer services at external events, helping to raise awareness of the volunteer services in sport and give the FWD a face. You can contribute your personal experience and actively support the further development of the voluntary service.
We are looking for:
- Presenting and representing the voluntary services at trade fairs, information events in schools and clubs as well as sporting events.
- Support with our public relations work. You can contribute and implement your ideas.
Your tasks:
- Presenting the volunteer services to school classes and or at general information events in person and, if necessary, online
- Looking after our exhibition stand at events and trade fairs
- Assisting with setting up and dismantling the stand
- Providing information and answering questions from interested parties
- Proactively approaching visitors at trade fairs
- Collaboration in public relations work
We will be happy to take your individual interests, capacities and talents into account when designing your specific tasks and will adapt to you! We are always open to new task ideas from you.
What we offer:
- You will be part of the new ambassador team consisting of young people who have done voluntary service in the last 5-7 years.
- The opportunity to raise awareness of the concept of voluntary services and pass on your experience
- Settlement of hourly wages and travel expenses when giving presentations and attending trade fairs
- Equipment with FWD clothing
- Individual and flexible organization of your tasks depending on your interests and capacities
- Free participation in a preparatory seminar (1.5 days) in Hanover, where you will be prepared for your assignments and receive rhetoric training
- Cooperation and networking with other ambassadors and support from the FWD team at the ASC.

Full-time employment in the FWD in sport
Our full-time employees form the FWD team, which is supported by freelance freelancers in the seminar work.
As full-time instructors, we are responsible for providing educational support and advice to young people during their voluntary service in sport.
Our tasks include the organization and management of educational seminars, the development of educational concepts and the assumption of administrative tasks for the implementation of voluntary services.
