Seminar offers from the sponsor

Here you can find the dates of your compulsory seminars from the sponsor. You have to participate completely in a seminar group and thus complete your introductory and intermediate seminar. In addition there is a final seminar and for the BFDler*innen the seminar for political education (dates will be announced). You will receive the allocation to a seminar group by mail. Please keep your e-mail address up to date and inform us about changes as soon as possible! Attention, in the spam folder of your mails you might have hidden a mail as well.

 Free seminar days can be booked through the ASC Göttingen seminar offerings within the seminar group as a 2nd intermediate seminar or special block course to obtain a license. (For an overview see course planning). Further information about ASC seminars will follow monthly by e-mail as a newsletter.

Normally you will attend seminars where you are together on site. We also offer you the contemporary opportunity to book an (almost) location-independent online seminar. Besides the flexible arrangement of the processing time, you can have the seminar credited as free seminar days. Prior knowledge is not required. For each online seminar you will be credited 5 seminar days.

You can choose between different current topics. In the video you can see our previous topics (association or inclusion). Additionally we also offer "BNE (Education for Sustainable Development)". Every year we expand our repertoire, so be curious about further topics. You will receive information about registration in time by mail and via our homepage news.

You would like to get involved with FWD in sports beyond your assignment? Then you are exactly right here! Get in touch with us or ask your speakers about our speaker system during the seminars. One speaker and one representative are elected per seminar group. It's worth it to be there! At the speaker meetings we encourage the exchange of ideas between all seminar groups. This results in many innovative ideas and projects. These seminar days can be recognized as freely chosen seminar days.

Over following offerers for example free seminar days can be completed:

• Sports Youth Lower Saxony (https://www.sportjugend-nds.de/)  
• respective regional, district or city sports associations
• Lower Saxony professional associations (NFV soccer, NTV tennis, NBV basketball, HVN handball, NWVV volleyball, TTVN table tennis, NLV athletics, etc.)
• (Technical colleges, adult education centers and universities
• all providers of first aid courses* (e.g. DRK e.V., Malteser, Johanniter, ASB, ...)

*It may be possible that the first aid course can be invoiced via the Verwaltungsberufsgenossenschaft (VBG) (information about course providers). A separate registration form with the VBG number of the place of employment should be filled out.

Please note the requirements regarding the recognition of a free seminar day (see under "Your freely selectable seminar days").

During your 12-month voluntary service (FWDs), you usually* have the opportunity within the introductory seminar (basic course) and 1st intermediate seminar (advanced course) to complete one of the licenses listed below or to begin with the license training.

Depending on the type of license, you will usually need a 2nd intermediate seminar and a valid first aid certificate to complete the license. Within your seminar group this intermediate seminar is often already offered and requires an active registration from you.      

In the case of the training supervisor C popular sports license, the 2nd intermediate seminar is conducted as a special block course or as several special block modules (a total of 40 units). The license would be completed with a hospitation as well as a teaching sample. At your introductory seminar you will receive the license application ("Laufzettel"), on which all signatures for the completed basic, advanced, special block course, the teaching test and the hospitation as well as a signature from you (applicant*in) are collected. Only then can the application be sent to ASC Göttingen and the license be applied for. You have a total of 2 years to apply for your ÜL-C license.  

For other license types the 2nd or 3rd intermediate seminar is a two to five day examination course. In the respective tiles you will find information about the course content and requirements as well as a link to further information.

Please discuss your choice of license with your volunteer agency and note that if you choose a specialized license (e.g. soccer, handball, ...), the focus should always be on completing the license! Please indicate your wish for a license in the volunteer registration form or inform ASC Göttingen von 1846 e.V. as early as possible.

*Since we can only offer many licenses once per FWD year, it may be that a certain license training is already full or does not take place in your contract period.
