FAQ

As soon as you have been assigned by us, you will receive an advance notice of your seminar group. The seminar group always consists of the year in which you start your FWD and is then made up of 4 further numbers that describe the corresponding seminar form, e.g. 2023-02-04 for ÜL-C popular sports license outside the school vacations. In the course planning for your year, you can see which parts belong to your seminar group based on your seminar ID. A seminar group usually consists of 2-3 different parts. The seminar ID is supplemented accordingly with the number of the respective part, e.g. for part 1: 2023-02-04-1

Look at all the parts of your seminar group and make a note of them in your calendar.

Volunteers can get discounts in open-air swimming pools, buses/trains or cinemas. However, these can be requested individually from the providers/operators.

The transfer of your pocket money is arranged by us as the sponsor around the 18th of each month. Your pocket money should therefore arrive in your account between the 18th and 22nd of each month. The pocket money is always transferred for the current month, e.g. your August pocket money is for August and not for the coming month. If you start on the 15th of a month, your pocket money will be paid to you pro rata.

No, the license is not related to the recognition of your FWD.
For your voluntary service to be recognized, it is important that you have completed all your seminar days, your learning objectives agreement and your FWD project. If this is the case, your FWD will be officially recognized!

A nice bonus to your seminar days is the opportunity to acquire a license depending on the seminar group (e.g. ÜL-C popular sports or a specialist license in handball or soccer). As a rule, you have two years from your introductory seminar to complete your license. This is therefore also possible after your FWD. However, it is advisable to complete your license directly during your FWD!

If you are ill, proceed as follows:

  1. If you are found to be unfit for work, contact your place of work as soon as possible.
  2. After visiting the doctor, send a message to krankmeldung@fwd-sport.de, add your place of employment to the CC and state your respective period of absence, which can be found on the doctor's printed eAU.
  3. If you are ill when you are supposed to be at a seminar, please send another e-mail to Seminare@fwd-sport.de with the time off.

The sick time will be transferred to the payroll program and then confirmed by the health insurance companies.

It can take up to 3-4 weeks to process your travel expenses. The processing time depends on when we receive your travel expense statement and whether there are any queries or uncertainties that need to be clarified before processing. As a rule, we process the travel expenses as quickly as possible and arrange for them to be transferred to your bank account. Ideally, you will be reimbursed your travel expenses after 1-2 weeks.

You can support the process by reading the information on reimbursement of travel expenses before booking your tickets. When completing your travel expense report, you should make sure that you note and sign all special features (delays, detours, stopovers, etc.) and send the original to the ASC Göttingen.

No. You have to write an individual project report and upload it to your Edubreak group.
Ultimately, the project report consists of a presentation of your project (1/2-1 page project presentation) and the answers to 5 key questions, which you can choose yourself from the guidelines. The report should therefore be individually designed.
You can find all information about the project and the guidelines for creating your project here.
