Overview - offers for assignment locations and mentors

The introductory seminars are aimed at all places of assignment that are deploying volunteers for the first time (or after a longer break) or at mentors who are starting or resuming the educational support of volunteers within the place of assignment. The introductory seminars are offered in September/October of each year. The seminars take place online and last approximately 2 hours.

The seminars are divided into an administrative module and a seminar module. If you would like to get a complete overview, please register for both modules.

Contents of the administration module:

  • Overview of the forms of service
  • Responsibilities before the start of service
  • Responsibilities during the FWD
  • Termination vs. change contracts
  • Legal aspects of working time cooperation

Contents of the seminar module:

  • Time structure of the FWD
  • (Provider) seminars in the BFD and FSJ
  • Specialist licenses
  • BFD profiles
  • Optional seminar days
  • FWD project
  • FWD recognition

The mentor seminars are held between November and February of each year in the form of online events (approx. 2 hours). The seminars are characterized by their advanced training character and are aimed at mentors who are responsible for the pedagogical support of the volunteers within the assignment location.

The pedagogical modules deal with current topics from the volunteer services and are intended both to provide assistance and to raise awareness of certain topics in the volunteer service. The seminars are aimed at both experienced and new mentors. We are happy to incorporate any topics you wish into the planning of our educational modules.

Here you can find the documentation of our past educational modules.

The assignment location meetings take place in the spring of each year. They are aimed at the assignment locations (managing directors, board chairs, school principals) as well as interested mentors.

At the meetings, we deal with innovations and changes. We look together at the development potential of the voluntary service and exchange views on current topics.
