In the following PDF you will find a list of relevant telephone numbers that can provide you with additional support in crisis situations.

What can you do if you face challenges or problems in the FWD?

Voluntary service offers you the opportunity to find your bearings and gain new experiences. Your service can also present you with various challenges, which can lead to highs and lows. To ensure that you can look back on mainly highs and positive experiences after your voluntary service, everyone involved in the voluntary services in sport is called upon: the ASC as the sponsor, your placement locations, your mentor and you yourself as the volunteer service leader.

At this point, you are at the center and that is why your well-being is very important to us. So if you notice that you are permanently dissatisfied, you feel over- or underchallenged, or your expectations of your FWD are not being met, then here are a few tips for you.

1. think about what exactly is bothering you

  • What is the cause?
  • What can I change to make things better?

2. contact your place of assignment.

  • Your mentor should support you in reflecting.
  • Other people at the place of assignment can also help you to find a solution.

3. get in touch with the seminar speakers of your group.

  • The spokespersons are the mouthpiece and can address your concerns to the ASC.

4. the ASC seminar team is at your side.

  • Our job is to listen to you and support you in crises.
  • If you have problems with the place of assignment, we will advise you and mediate.
  • If the seminar proves to be a major challenge for you, we will work with you to find solutions.
  • Do you have other concerns that you would like to address? Then you've come to the right place.
  • We will treat your concerns confidentially and will not act without your consent.

Protection from sexualized violence

The FWD team of ASC Göttingen von 1846 is committed to the protection of all those who are involved in the voluntary services of sport in Lower Saxony. Accordingly, the prevention of sexualized violence is discussed at our seminars in connection with the code of conduct to be signed. Our team regularly deals with violence prevention measures and takes part in external and internal training and further education.

The seminar team and the educational supervisors are available to you as confidants and for advice. We are happy to support you in the process of deciding how you would like to organize your time of service and how you can call in external specialist advice if necessary.
